About Us
All mountaineering services are led by Andrew Mallinson who has accumulated over thirty years experience as an active participant, instructor, guide and mentor. He has walked and climbed, in both summer and winter, in all major mountain regions of the UK. Past experience also includes periods spent climbing in the European Alps as well as expeditions to the High Atlas in Morocco and the Himalaya of India and Nepal.
Having gained a Bachelor of Education Degree in Outdoor Education and qualified as a teacher, Andrew has held senior instructional roles at a variety of outdoor centres. He has also worked independently as an instructor, guide and mountaineering mentor with a variety of private clients.
Andrew holds the nationally recognised Mountain Leader Award; the Single Pitch Award (rock climbing); and is Winter Mountain Leader trained. A member of the Mountaineering Council of Scotland and a fully qualified member of the Mountain Leader Training Association, he also holds an HSE approved Mountain/Outdoor First Aid qualification.
Andrew's depth of experience has led to the development of a unique approach to enhancing the mountaineering skills and abilities of others. Using a combination of practical learning experiences and individual mentoring to enhance performance, clients can break down barriers and extend their abilities to achieve their own ambitions.
Andrew is a Fully Qualified Member of the Mountain Leader Training Association.
Andrew is also an Approved Course Provider for the National Navigation Award Scheme.
